Selling IVC, Buying CBB

Don't like the candle print yesterday so I'm going to sell my entire position today at a loss. It sucks but life goes on.

Meanwhile CBB looks very interesting to me. I know I should be waiting for longer consolidation but I think this is a tight setup that might go any time now.

I plan on selling SIEN on Friday after thanksgiving. It has some potential but it made a pause yesterday and is taking a little bit too much time to move.

Selling EVRI

Constantly looking for ways to improve my system. And I think I overlooked the fact that momentum bursts last for 3-5 days. Ergo, I should be selling my positions by day 5 or something. With that said. I have chosen to sell EVRI and will begin selling IVC and SIEN in the next couple of days too.

Those positions are just slightly in the money for me. Unfortunately not enough to cover my losses for this month.

No new positions for me today. I didn't find anything particularly interesting. For now, sitting at a losing month. That is okay. I will make it up in December.

Slump

November is not looking pretty good for me. I think I'm already down $300 bucks this past few weeks. Hopefully December is better, month is not over yet and I still have some open positions that I'm hoping will close at a nice profit.

Stopped Out Again! AMKR

I was stopped out of my AMKR position after it had a high volatility day which and closed weak. That really sucked.

My SIEN orders got hit and I'm sitting on a little bit of profit there.

SPAR looks like it's going to stop me out today, which again sucks balls.

Have a new order, IVC. This one looks good and I'm also playing for a bounce with this one.

The SPY is looking like it's pulling back. I am checking the pre-market numbers now and it's going to look like a positive open. Hopefully there is something that will make this market do another swing higher, and I can book some profits. I am right now in a drawdown of sorts and it just sucks :)

Suck is the word of the day.

Stopped out a couple - NPTN GPRE

It sucks but I got stopped out on NPTN and GPRE. NPTN was positive for a while until interest died down. GPRE never even got the chance to breakout.

I am entering SIEN as a bounce play. I somewhat feel that the selling has abated and buyers might be willing to step in at these levels especially those that missed the gap up caused by what I assume to be an earnings gap.

SPAR went down and now I am underwater on the stock slightly... The stock that is "keeping me afloat" in this current batch is AMKR which has done...relatively well.

Hopefully we get a bounce in the market and a decent move higher and see SIEN move higher as well.

No new trades - just managing positions

I wonder why my NERV position didn't get hit. My theory is that I was just not able to get a fill and the market was too fast for my order. Anyway I have 5 positions on right now. It makes me a little nervous to have these around. Should all of them stop out, I'm looking at a potential loss of around $300. In the grand scheme of things, I can tolerate that.

For now, I'm just waiting for these positions to work or to show me that I need to sell them. I don't have a defined time stop. But I think I should be exiting towards the 10th day mark if nothing really happens. Or maybe I should be moving my stop up closer and closer, not sure yet. But maybe yeah, 10 days should be enough time.

New Orders - NERV GPRE EVRI

Surprisingly, my existing positions did not get stopped out. I think AMKR was almost stopped out the open. I think it was just a hair strand away from being cut.

NERV didn't get hit so I am re-entering my order today. I think it's still good. GPRE and EVRI follow NERV's pattern. Hopefully my positions do well this week as I'm in a bit of a slump.

For now the SPY is heading higher. I don't want to be the guy caught in a massive down swing, so I'm being really cautious and picky about the setups that I am taking. Nevertheless if everything gets hit, I will be ending up with 6 positions lol.

Let's see what happens today. My SPAR position seems to be doing well and is just a few points away from my first target. I am contemplating on taking half off already and putting my stop at break even.

New Shit - WIFI, NERV

Loving these two setups that are forming really tight consolidation patterns. WIFI made a strong move in early november. I am just looking to hop on in any continuation that may happen afterwards. Nice tight consolidation, have a buy stop on the high of the latest candle.

NERV, I feel didn't make as strong a move as WIFI, but it's still around 25% from end october. Now it is consolidating nicely. Just waiting for some buying to pick up again and then I should be golden.

I am still long SPAR, AMKR, and NPTN. If I get hit on these two this will bring my position to 5 which I think is the most I have held concurrently.

Seems like I'm getting Aggressive - SHEN SEM NPTN

I'm having a second go again at SHEN since the order did not trigger yesterday and I think it's still a good setup. Adding SEM and NPTN as high and tight setups that I want to participate in.

If all of these get hit, this is going to be my biggest simultaneous exposure this year. To be honest I'm not that comfortable but I have to try having something like this. I just can't shake the feeling that I am being aggressive at the wrong time (when the overall markets are at all time highs).

Still no trades but have orders for SPAR BGG AMKR CFX and SHEN

No orders were hit yesterday so I re-entered orders for SPAR and BGG. I liked the new setups in AMKR CFX and SHEN.

I'm a little nervous because I have open orders for 5 new positions. Hopefully these workout :)

That's it for now. I'm really tired from work.

CBZ SPAR BGG - New Setups!

Added two new setups SPAR and BGG to the list. CBZ didn't get hit last friday so I'm re-entering my orders on there. These three are nice looking and orderly pullbacks. My hope is I get a bounce off of swing lows for quick some quick wins.

For now, the overall markets are just marching slowly to the upside. My fear is that there will be some catalyst or news that is going to violently send markets down.

Anyway, there is no way for me to know that so Im going to make do with these setups that I really like.

Good luck to all you guys this week.

CBZ - new Long order

I like this tight continuation setup. Have a buy stop above the highs of those doji candles in the past 2 days. Aside from that no other setup entices me to play.

There are around 400 stocks in the scans but most of them are after earnings movers so I need to wait for them to set up a bit before I consider entering. CBZ reported earnings last October 30 (huge green bar) so it has consolidated a bit and "rested", it might be ready for another leg up.

One thing that concerns me is the overall market which I feel is due for a pullback soon.

FRAN - stopped out

Stopped out of FRAN yesterday which was a bummer. That was round 2 already at a loss haha. Not seeing any good setups lately. So I'm just waiting. :) Lots of stocks in the scans because it's earnings season and some stocks are just gapping up like crazy.

SES - but nope

Out of the 300 or so stocks on the scan, I liked SES. So TC2000 tells me that earnings is going to be announced on November 19. So there IS time for this to move and allow me to get out before earnings. However, checking the Nasdaq and Zacks website, including the company website, I'm not sure if this date is correct.

So I decided to skip this setup even if I like it. I will just monitor it just for "what if's" sake. But not knowing when it will announce scares me because it can gap down quickly back to the $1.50 handle.

FRAN isn't doing so well and I think I'm going to get stopped out with that. That's part of the game. Onward.

Nothing Interesting Today

Funny how there are around 250 stocks on my scan today but not one of them I found to be interesting.

I got long FRAN yesterday and it's starting to look like a dud again LOL. Maybe 3rd time's the charm. For now, there's nothing I can do but wait a bit. I am expecting some kind of pullback in the overall markets. I mean just look at this.

ETFs representing stocks across the globe are trading at swing highs. It is clear that a pullback is due.

The US ETFs are telling a similar story. Every bull is just having a party. The party has to end somehow. I'll be more comfortable holding more longs when we have eased off a little bit of this pressure.

New Setups New Week!

It's November and I'm pumped to make same trades. We have returning suspects here in ACAD and FRAN ...prior trades were not as successful so hopefully this time around they will yield me some decent coin.

PETS is a newcomer, and I'm buying it on a mean reversion play. It has been down several days and I'm hoping some market strength will kick in the bids and push it a little higher for a nice swing.

Other than that, I have no setup so I will be studying some market videos and setup videos by Zor before I re-string my guitar.

Income Report: October 2019

One reason I wasn't hesitant to make a monthly review of my trades for October is that I actually did pretty well this month. If November turns out to be a dud I will still need to come up with an honest report card of what I did.

Here are the trades for this October 2019:

Commissions and other fees such as data feeds were just around $17. Thank you Interactive Brokers.

So it seems like a bulk of my profits came from two trades: GOGO and TILE. It is tempting to look at just these two and look for stocks with similar patterns. While that makes a little bit of sense logically, I think that things are more complicated than that.

I've had a couple of scratches: MTEM, FRAN and TMST. These stocks stopped me out on the same day I think. There are some stocks that I exited as they reached the first profit target: ACAD, BBBY, and PGTI.

In hindsight I should have kept MTEM in my radar as it went +40% after I got stopped out.

In OMI, I put in a second trade that didn't work out. Maybe I could have squeezed another $30 bucks or so to my profit but it was a setup that I wanted to take because it "looked" good.

Zor says that the results are mostly random so I really want to avoid finding a pattern similar to GOGO and TILE because I might have just gotten lucky on those and a similarly looking setup might have a different result.

All in all, I think this is my best month so far this year and all of these stocks are from the Momentum + inside day scans that I took from ZorTrades. What I will do is continue focusing on the momentum scan and looking for tight, inside day plays.
